When he leaves....

Duty calls for Dad
Parting is such sweet sorrow
Sad girls choke back tears

When we have to live without Daddy for a few weeks, it's hard on me, but it's easy for me to recognize a remember those who sacrifice much more time (and then some) away from their families; military or otherwise. My girls, on the other hand, are finding it harder and harder. Of course I don't compare their sacrifice or sadness to that of others. Their sadness is their own at this point. I let them have it, I encourage them to let it out, he'll be home soon, but it sucks in the meantime.

  1. Poor girls. It must be hard for them. Give them big hugs for me.

  2. That would be terribly difficult. My son is so attached to his daddy, who works across the street from our home, I can't even imagine how hard it must be to say goodbye for weeks. Take care...

  3. You are SUCH a beautiful, graceful and STRONG mother. That is CLEARLY the most comfort your girls could EVER have - I so admire your spirit! God Bless and keep your dear husband! xoxo!

  4. Sad for the girls and you.
Hope he gets back soon safe and sound.

What's on your mind, friend?
